Keep your cat hydrated with our Fussy Cat Ceramic Wireless Water Fountain! Our Fussy Cat Fountain has a spill-proof*, indestructible design and is either motion or timer activated. It weighs 2kg empty and 4Kg full, so even the naughtiest of cats won't be knocking this over. Perfect for all mischievous Bengals, playful Maine Coons and even the clumsiest Moggy.
It features an in-built rechargeable battery that lasts up to 60 days on one charge, more than enough to last between refills. Being totally wireless, you can put it anywhere in the home, not just next to that inconvenient power socket.
There are no cables to chew and no small parts for inquisitive cats to remove. Just the bowl, saucer, pump and filter tray. Its clever design needs no clips or screws, just lift each part up and away for easy cleaning. You can even just pop out the pump and charge it elsewhere, leaving the saucer full of water.
The spill proof design features a gap all the way around the edge of the water saucer. This allows the more playful breeds to paw away at the water without creating a mess all over the floor. The saucer is quickly refilled by the pump providing endless fun. Or just that well deserved drink of course!
Our Ceramic Cat Water Fountain has 3 operation modes:
- Motion activated, so it only bursts into life when your cat approaches
- Scheduled mode, so that the drinking saucer is refreshed every 20 minutes
- Continuously if that's what your cat prefers (USB power required)

Clean and water resistant thanks to Vitrified Ceramic
Vitrification is a special production method where the ceramic is heated to extremely high temperatures (1240 degrees C) which causes all of the pores to close in the ceramic. This technique completely seals the ceramic, even in places where there is no glaze. This has many advantages:
- Dirt or bacteria have a hard time sticking to the sealed surfaces
- All of the ceramic parts are 100% dishwasher safe, which makes cleaning simple
- Ceramic has an almost infinite lifespan. Unlike plastic, it won't scratch or wear out.
- The ceramic cannot be damaged by water because all the surfaces are sealed. Even if a splinter breaks off, the broken surface is still completely sealed.
Optional Power Supply
No one likes waste! For that reason, we don't include a USB power supply with our awesome Cat Water Fountain.
There is no need to send something half way around the world if you can use something that you already have! There are countless unused USB chargers from all sorts of old tech gathering dust in peoples cupboards.
Pretty much any old USB charger will do. All you need is one that supplies as a minimum 5 Volts at 1 Amp (all standard USB chargers are 5V, if it supplies more than 1A, then that's ok too). We do include the cable to connect to the Cat Water Fountain. This is a USB-A to USB-C type cable.
If you don't have a spare USB adapter, then you'll need the optional power supply for the Cat Fountain.
(*If you have an especially inquisitive breed, such as a Bengal or Maine Coon cat, don't show them how the fountain comes apart.
In my experience, it's best to make sure that the fountain is charged, filled and assembled out of sight of your cat. They'll then treat the fountain as a singular thing, rather than lots of smaller things to be taken apart and played with!)
What is a cat fountain and why should you get one?
It can be a struggle to keep cats hydrated - dry diets and a low thirst drive combine to make cats under-hydrated and prone to urinary tract stones and other complications of inadequate water intake. When you add on the fact that many cats view their water bowls as dirty, stagnant puddles, chronic dehydration becomes almost inevitable. Vets bills can soon follow.
But we've all seen a cat drinking from a dirty puddle? Yes, but from a cat's perspective, that's a fresh, transient source of water and unlikely to be stagnant.
So what is a cat fountain all about? Basically it is a clever water bowl with an electric water pump and reservoir that circulates the water. This mimics the flow of a stream, which encourages many cats to drink more frequently as they naturally prefer moving water. This generally leads to better hydration and potentially reducing the risk of urinary tract infections.
Our Fussy Cat fountains also include a filter to remove debris and impurities from the water, keeping it cleaner and fresher than a stagnant bowl.
Some breeds of cat, like Bengal or a Maine Coon, love to play with water in all of its forms and many a bowl is emptied all over the floor and none gets drunk!

It may seem strange to think that you need to encourage your cat to drink water, but it’s true. Domestic cats are descended from desert dwellers and drinking water isn't top on their priority list, even though it really should be. Keeping your cat hydrated means better health in general, lowering their chances of cystitis, urinary crystals, kidney issues, and more. The Fussy Cat Water Fountain is a great way to get your cat to drink more water.
How to use the Fussy Cat Fountain
The Fussy Cat Fountain is super simple to use with its one button operation and clear water level indicator
Simply press and hold the Power/Mode button for 3 seconds to turn the fountain on. It's default setting is Timed, whereby it will initially operate for 1 minute to fill the saucer and then turn on every 20 minutes with a 40 second activation. This mode provides maximum battery life
To change to the Sensor-Activated mode, simply tap on the Power/Mode button.
Selecting Sensor mode initially provides water for 60 seconds to fill the saucer. Once activated by motion, water is provided for 30 seconds. There is a delay of 30 seconds between activations. Simple!
Water level Sensor:
3 lights indicate a water level above 75%
2 lights indicate a water level above 50%
1 light indicates a water level above 25%
No lights indicate a low water level below 25%
Monitor the battery level: A blinking red light indicates that charging is needed
Battery level detection system:
Flashing Red light = battery level is below 10% and needs recharging*.
Solid Red light = battery is charging
A solid white/blue = Battery fully charged
*The estimated battery life is 1-3 days in a low power state (20 sensor activations per day).
