Priming the Water Pump

 

If the pump is running and no water is coming out, then you may need to 'Prime' the pump to clear out any trapped air. This can happen on first use or very occasionally after cleaning if all the water has drained out of the pump. It just takes a minute to clear!

Before starting, make sure that the USB charging socket is protected by the small rubber cover or place a finger over it during priming as we need to keep this dry.

 

Lift the pump out of the water fountain and take it over to the sink. Unclip the foam filter holder on the base of the pump to expose the water inlet.

 

 

Turn on the pump with the Power/Mode button and hold it upside down under a running tap so that the tap water is entering the small hole on the base of the pump as shown below.

 

 

You may need to hold it quite close to the tap to force out the air. Re-activate the pump by tapping the Power/Mode button as needed to make sure that its running when the tap is on. 

Once the airlock has been cleared, the pump will fire into life. Re-attach the foam filter holder, pop it back into the Fountain and you're ready to go!
